Most founders raising for the first time don't know what they don't know. Ivan has spent fifteen years fixing that. Over 200 financial models, more than 60 companies, and collectively north of £40 million raised from angels, family offices, VCs, and crowdfunding platforms. Since 2011, Ivan has worked as a fractional CFO and advisor to pre-seed and seed-stage founders — and knows what it takes to get an early-stage business in front of the right investors and funded.
His route here wasn't conventional. He spent his early career running a venture-backed biotech — a team of six scientists, a multi-million pound licensing deal with a FTSE-listed business, and a fundraising process that taught him more than any textbook could. The science didn't prove out in the end, but the experience gave him something more useful: a first-hand understanding of how investors think, what they're really looking for in a model, and what founders are committing to when they sign a term sheet.
Founders come back to him because he builds the numbers and the narrative together — so by the time they're in the room with investors, they know their model inside out.
